Subscription Terms
Last updated: July 2, 2026These Subscription Terms govern paid subscriptions to the Kamui platform. They apply together with the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy; for billing and subscription matters, these Subscription Terms control. If you and Kamui sign a separate order form, the signed order form controls over these standard terms.
01Plans, add-ons, and fees
The platform is offered as a base subscription (the POS Terminal, currently $199/month per location, with unlimited registers and staff) plus optional add-on features and bundles, at the prices published on the features page and the pricing sections of this site. The fees confirmed at checkout or in your order form are the fees that apply. Prices are per location and exclude any applicable taxes, which are your responsibility.
Add-ons can be switched on at any time (billed from activation) and removed effective your next billing cycle. Some bundles may be activated with our team's help rather than self-serve.
02Free first month
New subscriptions include a free first month — no setup fee. We may require a payment method up front; you will not be charged before the trial ends, and you can cancel any time during the trial at no cost. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription converts to a paid one at the plan you selected. Trial usage may be subject to reasonable fair-use limits (for example, on SMS volume) to prevent abuse.
03Billing and payment
Subscriptions are billed monthly, in advance, through Stripe; Kamui does not store full payment-card numbers. If a payment fails, we will retry and notify you; continued non-payment may lead to suspension of the service after notice. We may change published prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes take effect at your next billing cycle, and you may cancel before they apply.
04Cancellation
There is no long-term contract. You can cancel from your account at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. To the extent permitted by law, fees already paid are non-refundable for partial periods.
05Your data on termination
Full data export is included in the base plan — export your data at any time, including before cancellation. After a subscription ends, we retain your tenant data for a reasonable grace period (so you can reactivate or export), after which it is deleted, except where retention is required by law. Data received from connected third-party services is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
06Third-party integrations
Where the platform offers integrations with third-party services, enabling one constitutes your written authorization for Kamui to access that service, exchange data with it, and act as your point-of-sale and integration provider on your behalf, as described in the Terms of Use. You are responsible for maintaining your own eligibility and account standing with each connected service.
07Support
Email support is included in every subscription. We typically reply within one business day.
08Changes to these terms
We may revise these Subscription Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the "Last updated" date; material changes will be notified to account holders by email or an in-product notice and take effect at your next billing cycle.
