Messaging Policy (SMS)

Last updated: August 6, 2026

Kamui is delivery-management software. Local businesses use it to dispatch their own drivers, and Kamui sends a small number of text messages so the person waiting on a delivery knows where it is. This page describes exactly what those messages are, how consent is obtained, and how to stop them. It applies together with the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.

1. Who is texting you

Kamui Digital LLC.Every message identifies itself as Kamui, comes from a Kamui number, and links to a Kamui tracking page. Kamui coordinates the delivery of the order you placed and these texts are Kamui's own transactional notices about it — the status of your delivery and, if you sign in, your login code.

The shop you ordered from sells you the goods; it does not send these messages and never sees your number in them. That is why nothing here carries a shop name, a product name or a price: this channel exists to tell you where your delivery is, and nothing else.

2. What we send

Transactional messages tied to an order or an account you already have. Nothing else — no promotions, no product offers, no recurring newsletters:

  • Delivery status. That an order is on its way, and a link to follow it.
  • Arrival notice. That the driver is close.
  • One-time login codes, when you ask to sign in to a merchant's ordering page or a driver signs in to the Kamui driver app.
  • A reply from the person delivering, when they need to reach you about that specific delivery.

The actual templates in use, verbatim — these are the samples registered with the carriers:

  • “Kamui: your delivery is on the way. Track: https://lin-k.one/t/8f3a2b1c” (new line) “Reply STOP to opt out.”
  • “Kamui: your driver is arriving. https://lin-k.one/t/8f3a2b1c” (new line) “Reply STOP to opt out.”
  • “Kamui: your driver sent you a message about your delivery. https://lin-k.one/t/8f3a2b1c” (new line)“Reply STOP to opt out.”
  • “Your verification code is: 481902”

lin-k.oneis Kamui's own tracking domain. The link in a delivery message always points there; it carries the live status of that one order and the thread with the person delivering it, and nothing else.

3. How consent is collected

You give your mobile number when you place a delivery order on a Kamui-powered ordering page, and that page tells you, at that moment, that Kamui will text you about the order. Consent is given to Kamui at the point of order, for the single purpose of delivering what you bought.

No purchased lists. No numbers from third parties. A number only ever enters the system because the person it belongs to gave it to the business directly. Consent for one-time login codes is the act of requesting a code.

Message frequency depends on your own orders — typically one to three messages per order. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

The opt-in form

Below is the form as the customer sees it at the moment the number is collected — the mobile number field and the messaging disclosure on the same screen, immediately above the button that submits the order. It is reproduced here in full so it can be read without placing an order.

Example — Kamui-powered ordering page, final step

By placing this order you agree to receive text messages from Kamui, which coordinates this delivery: updates about this order, and a one-time code if you sign in. Message frequency varies — typically one to three messages per order. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See our Messaging Policy and Privacy Policy.

Place Order

Consent is given to Kamui, at the point of order, for the single purpose of delivering that order. There is no pre-checked box and no bundled marketing permission: the disclosure sits directly above the submit control, so submitting the order is the affirmative act.

4. How to stop, and how to get help

Reply STOP to any message to stop all non-essential messages from that sender. Reply HELP for help, or email support@kamui.digital.

An opt-out is honoured by the carrier immediately and enforced in the software as well: once a number has opted out, Kamui does not attempt to reach it by text through any other route. There is no “try the other provider” path — the request to stop is the end of it. Opting out of texts does not cancel your order, and the business can still reach you by phone if it needs to complete a delivery.

5. What we never do with a mobile number

Mobile numbers and consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing. Numbers are shared only with the messaging carriers required to deliver the message, and with the merchant whose delivery it concerns. Kamui does not use them to advertise Kamui.

Each merchant's data is isolated from every other merchant's: a business using Kamui cannot see another business's customers or their numbers. See the Security page for how that isolation is enforced, and the Privacy Policy for retention and your rights over the data.

6. Messages to drivers

People who drive for a business using Kamui receive a one-time code to sign in to the driver app, and operational messages about the deliveries assigned to them. This is workplace communication between a business and its own driver; it is not marketing, and it stops when they stop driving for that business.
